1st Annual Keith Hays Memorial April 20-22 At GVS

The Green Valley Speedway has just released information on the upcoming "Keith Hays Memorial" race. Originally on tap for (Talladega Weekend) April 28th & 29th the event has been revamped completely, due to the heads up decisions of GVS promoter, Bill Ten-Eyck along with Mr. and Mrs. Hays. 

The Dirt Super Late Models will now invade Gadsden, AL the weekend of April 20th - 22nd for a $10,000 to win / $500 to start, 75 lap, "A" Main Feature event. Despite a "Colosol" event on the coast, traveling race teams from around the country as well as local SLM race teams are expected to come vying for the almost $35,000 purse. 

Kicking off "KEITH'S WEEKEND" will be an open practice Thursday at GVS, April 20th, gates will open around Noon with Practice for all divisions from late afternoon and wrapping up that evening. Then on Friday night, April 21st, SLM'S will qualify and run heats to determine the top 16 or 18 starters. On Saturday night, April 22nd, the Dirt SLM'S, will compete in a series of "B" Main / consi(s). and the 75 lap feature race. The local GVS racing "undercard" will be released early next week.
