Wendell Wallace to Vie for James King Memorial Crown

BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS - For the second straight weekend, Wendell Wallace was
piloting an Open Wheel Modified, this time in the ‘Salute 2 Six Modified
Special’ at the Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, AR. Wendell qualified
for the $6,000 to win feature event by virtue of finishing sixth in Friday
night’s preliminary feature race. That race set the inside rows for
Saturday night’s big feature event, which was postponed until Thursday
night, April 28 because of inclement weather. Wendell will roll of from the
inside of the sixth row when he returns to his hometown speedway on April
28.

The Wendell Wallace Autosports team is scheduled to attend the “Baddest
Bullring in the South’, which is the Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS. On
tap this weekend at Columbus will be the 13th Annual ‘James King Memorial’.
An unsanctioned, $2,000 to win show will be held on Friday night, with a
$10,000 to win, 64-lap finale slated for the following evening. A $1,000
bonus will also be handed out to the driver with the highest point total
from the two nights of racing action. The popular Batesville, Arkansas
driver had a solid Top Ten performance in last year’s version of this event,
as he brought his J&J Steel / JFR Graphics / Garrett Racing #88 GRT machine
home in the eighth spot. For more information on this weekend at Columbus,
