EXCITING 25 RACE SCHEDULE FOR ARDC IN '07

Oley, PA - February 11, 2007 - Twenty-five point-paying races at eight different tracks, including two visits to a brand new venue, make up a blockbuster 2007 schedule for the midgets of the American Racing Drivers Club (ARDC).

Over the past two seasons, a pair of Pennsylvania speedways have displayed a strong committment to ARDC, and the mighty midgets have responded by presenting some incredible competition at both dirt ovals. Susquehanna Speedway Park and the Big Diamond Raceway have developed an affinity for the wingless, open-wheeled club, and the events at both tracks have been outstanding. And the good news for ARDC teams and fans is that almost three-quarters of this year's races will be staged at these two speedplants, with a dozen shows booked at Susquehanna (the home track of ARDC) and six events will be held at Big Diamond, the Minersville oval transformed into a state of the art facility in 2006.

Susky will host the first two races of the ARDC campaign, on April 6 and April 22. The midgets then travel to Big Diamond on April 27 for their third event of 2007.

Two of the most talked about programs in the northeast will take place on June 6 and 7, as ARDC shares the bill with the USAC sprint cars at Grandview and Big Diamond. Some of the USAC hot shoes are expected to bring their midgets with them, or secure rides so they can pull double-duty in these events.

The annual Southern Swing is back on the ARDC schedule, with a trip to Dixieland Speedway and County Line Raceway in North Carolina set for July 13 & 14. But that won't be the club's only excursion below the Mason-Dixon Line in '07.

For the first time in recent history, the midgets will compete at the Winchester Speedway in Virginia...and they will visit the ultra-fast 3/8 mile of clay on two occasions. Saturday, June 30 is penciled in for the initial event, and the teams will return to Winchester's high banks on Saturday, September 8.

After a one-year hiatus from the ARDC schedule, Lock Haven, PA's Clinton County Speedway will host the midgets on Saturday, July 7. And the new management team at New Egypt Speedway has booked an event for Saturday, August 25. Clinton County is the perfect size and layout for the midgets, and club officials are looking forward to going back to the track that is now in the hands of promoter Chuck Pollock. And thousands of New Jersey race fans always pack the grandstands when ARDC competes at New Egypt, and the drivers oblige by presenting some terrific action on the D-shaped half-mile.

There are actually 27 events listed on the ARDC schedule, with a non-point, two day trip to the Pepsi/Mountain Dew Midget Nationals at the famed Knoxville Raceway slated for June 22nd and 23rd. Along with USAC and other midget organizations, ARDC is one of the groups who co-sanction this huge event at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville, Iowa.

For the third consecutive season, the series will conclude at Susquehanna, with the running of the Candy Bowl on Saturday, October 27.

The entire schedule can be viewed on the club's web site, www.ardcmidgets.com. While the club's officers believe the slate is complete, fans are encouraged to check back often for possible updates to the 2007 racing schedule.
