Rick Eckert Welcomes MasterSbilt Race Cars on Board for '07

YORK, PENNSYLVANIA - December 7, 2006 - When York, Pennsylvania driver Rick Eckert kicks off his 2007 racing season in February in Georgia and Florida, the veteran Dirt Late Model pilot will be behind the wheel of a MasterSbilt chassis. The revamped Raye Vest Racing team made the switch to MasterSbilt Race Cars from Rocket Chassis this off-season. Other changes for the #24 team this off-season include the departure of crew chief Robby Allen and crew member Dustin Keath, who moved on to other opportunities.

“I am very excited about the switch to MasterSbilt Race Cars,” commented Eckert when asked about the move to the Crothersville, Indiana chassis manufacturer. “With the help of Keith and Tader Masters, and everyone at MasterSbilt, we will shoot for the 2007 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Championship. All of our great sponsors including Raye Vest, J&J Steel, and Cornett Racing Engines are back on board for next year, so I am really looking forward to kicking off the season next February. It will be a busy off-season for us with all of the revamping going on within Raye Vest Racing, but I feel confident in the direction we are headed as a team.”

Rick and the Raye Vest Racing team will once again tackle the rigorous World of Outlaws Late Model Series circuit in 2007. Forty-eight confirmed events make up the busy 2007 version of the World of Outlaws Late Models schedule, which commences with $10,000-to-win, 50-lap A-Mains on February 15 and 17 during the ‘DIRTcar Nationals Presented By Mopar Speed Shop’ at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Rick finished third in the points in 2004, fourth in 2005, and he registered a seventh place effort in the 2006 competitive points battle. You can view the entire 2007 World of Outlaws Late Model Series schedule online at www.woolms.com.

The Raye Vest Racing team currently has two Rocket Chassis for sale. Both cars have blue front ends and will be sold complete. Please email kristaleckert24@aol.com for pricing and additional information!
