Jeff Floyd Ready to Return to Memphis for July 22 Event Southern Nationals Series Only a Week Away!
WALNUT RIDGE, ARKANSAS - July 14, 2005 - On Friday, July 22, Jeff Floyd and the JFR Motorsports team will be back in action at the Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, Tennessee. The Stacker2 Mid-America Racing Series (MARS) and the World of Outlaws Stacker2 Late Model Series will co-sanction a $10,000 to win event at the racy 1/4-mile Tennessee oval. The SPEED Channel cameras will be on hand to capture every exciting moment of the racing action at MMP on Friday, July 22.
Jeff is no stranger to the Memphis, Tennessee facility, as he has reached victory lane the last three times he has been there. The Walnut Ridge, Arkansas driver won a regular event on May 6 and backed that up with an O’Reilly SUPR Series victory the following weekend at MMP. Just last month, Jeff captured the $3,000 payday at Memphis in a MARS-sanctioned event. In addition to his recent success, Jeff also claimed a $7,500 winner’s check at Memphis last fall.
With Jeff’s track record at Memphis and the upcoming televised event, the combination could be a profitable one for your company or business. Jeff is looking for a sponsor that would like to jump aboard his familiar #F1 machine for the weekend of July 15-16. The weekend sponsorship would include visible logo representation for both World of Outlaws / MARS co-sanctioned events over the weekend. Those events are Friday, July 15 at the Memphis (TN) Motorsports Park and Saturday, July 16 at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma. Only the event at Memphis will be taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for viewing at a later date.
“We are currently looking for a company or business that may be interested in sponsoring us for the big weekend coming up on July 15 and 16,” stated Floyd on Wednesday evening. “The events are being co-sanctioned by the MARS Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and there will be an open tire rule for these two races. We don’t run very many open tire races, so that is going to be a big expense for us. I think we have a good marketing package to offer a potential sponsor, especially with the televised race at Memphis. I run pretty well over there and I am excited about going back and competing with the “Dirty Dozen.”
“The Fireball” has amassed one victory, seven Top Five finishes, and eleven Top Ten runs in the twelve MARS events so far this year. Jeff currently sits fourth in the 2005 MARS Series point standings. Jeff’s business, JFR Graphics, will be the year-long sponsor of the JFRGraphics.com Pole Award for the MARS circuit.

Jeff Floyd Lands Fourth Win of Season at Poplar Bluff
WALNUT RIDGE, ARKANSAS - July 5, 2005 - Jeff Floyd had a very busy, yet successful, 4th of July holiday weekend, as he picked up a win and two additional top three finishes. Jeff piloted his Stamp Out Smoking / Floyd’s Body Shop / JFR Graphics #F1 GRT / Kuntz Ford Taurus to a popular win at the Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Saturday night. The $1,200 victory was Jeff’s fourth of the 2005 racing season.
The driver dubbed “The Fireball” by his fans also finished second in the Dirt Late Model event on Friday night at the Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri. The Walnut Ridge, Arkansas driver also posted a solid third place effort at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Sunday evening. Jeff started eleventh in the $2,000 to win Firecracker 5 Crown event, but worked his way up front early on in the event. He was in the top five by lap ten and lost out in a battle with Jamie Elam for the second spot in the waning laps.
“It was a solid weekend for us and our cars were good all weekend long,” stated Jeff on Tuesday afternoon from his race shop. “We raced our Chevrolet on Friday night at Malden and our Ford stuff on Saturday and Sunday. It was good to get back into victory lane again at Poplar Bluff. We went there to do a little testing for the upcoming MARS race and it paid off.”
