McCammon finishes Northern All-Star Series in 2nd Place. Following a run of bad luck, which ended just before the conclusion of the season, Doug McCammon and the 92 Racing Team finished in 2nd place in the final point standings for the Northern All-Star Late Model Series. Heading into the final weekend of racing, Doug trailed 1999 Champion Steve Barnett by 90 points. After the weekend schedule resulted in one less race than anticipated, Doug went to work to do his part in catching the Franklin Indiana driver Barnett. After setting Fast time, and earning 10 bonus points at Terre Haute, Doug also won his Heat Race, forcing Barnett to finish very strongly to maintain his lead. Barnett not only won his heat race, but also the feature, to take the championship. While a bit disappointed in not taking the title, the strong runs at the end of the year, and the ability to " go down fighting" seemed to keep the spirits up. " Although we would have liked to have won, we want to congratulate Steve Barnett and his team on the win, they really came on strong at the middle of the season, and worked hard for it" said Doug McCammon. After Debuting a brand new Warrior Race Car last weekend at Red Hill Speedway, Doug seemed to break through the bad luck barrier, and finished up the season on a strong note. While the Northern All-Star series has concluded, we will still have at least one more weekend of racing, as we travel to Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway for the CommonWealth Cup race next weekend. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support, throughout this season, and we look forward to working with everyone in 2001. If anyone needs any photos for various uses, please contact us, as we have several available. Also on November 26, 2000 we will be attending the Northern All-Star Banquet to accept the 2nd place trophy and check that goes along with it. The real reason we are able to do this, is the fine support we receive from all of our sponsors, and supporters, and we would just like to say THANKS! Sponsors R.A.
