Dale McDowell Takes Over Ownership of DMR for 2006

CHICKAMAUGA, GEORGIA - January 10, 2006 - After five successful seasons of driving for the S&H
Motorsports team, Dale McDowell, along with his brother and crew chief Shane
McDowell, will go back to owning their race team for the upcoming 2006
racing season. The S&H Motorsports team, headed by co-owners Larry Shaw and
Ken Hendrix, were the driving force behind the numerous victories that Dale
amassed over the past five seasons including the 2005 ‘World 100,’ the 2005
& 2001 ‘USA Nationals,’ the 2004 ‘Topless 100,’ the 2004 ‘James King
Memorial,’ and the 2001 ‘Dixie Shootout.’ Although Larry and Ken will no
longer own the race team, they will still be a prominent part of Dale’s team
in 2006.

“First off, I want to thank both Larry (Shaw) and Ken (Hendrix) for their
unwavering support over the past five years,” commented McDowell today in a
telephone conversation. “They will not be team owners this season, but that
does not mean that they will not be supporting our race team. S&H
Motorsports will still be involved, but in a sponsor-type role. Shane
(McDowell) and I are looking forward to the challenge of owning our own race
team again and we are anxious to kick off the 2006 racing season!”

The feeling of admiration is truly mutual, as Ken Hendrix had this to say
about McDowell in a recent conversation, “I really enjoy working with both
Dale and Shane, as they are both first-class people. With my business the
way it is, I just don’t have the time to be able to dedicate everything to
those guys that they deserve. So, Larry and I just decided to hand over the
reigns to Dale and Shane and let them handle things the way they see fit.
We will still be a sponsor and support Dale and Shane 100 percent. Larry
and I are looking forward to Dale visiting victory lane on numerous
occasions during the 2006 season.”

As was the case in the previous two seasons, the Dale McDowell Racing team
will chase after the World of Outlaws Late Model Series crown again in 2006.
The series will kick off on February 4 with a $10,000 to win event at the
Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia. The third year series will
then travel to the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida for two
sanctioned events on February 16 and 18. Dale will also compete in other
events during Speedweeks 2006, but he has yet to determine which races he
will attend. As soon as any schedule plans are made, they will be noted on
Dale’s official website, which is located at www.dalemcdowell.com.

Dale McDowell Racing would like to thank all of their sponsors including:
Larry Shaw Race Cars, J&J Steel, Hennessey Rental Tools, New Vision
