Randy Weaver and D&R Racing Announce 2006 Plans

CROSSVILLE, TENNESSEE - December 7, 2005 - Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tennessee and D&R Racing of Kingston, Tennessee would like to announce that they will be fielding Warrior Race Cars for the upcoming 2006 racing season. Randy recently captured the biggest payday of his racing career in the Warrior House Car, as he won the prestigious ‘Blue-Gray 100’ at the Cherokee Super Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina back in November. The #116 machine will also be powered by Custom Racing Engines in 2006.

“I am really excited to get going in 2006,” stated Weaver today via telephone. “I am looking forward to working closely with Sanford (Goddard) and everybody at Warrior Race Cars next year. Those guys are great to work with and they build a fast racecar. Then with Custom motors underneath the hood, we should have plenty of horsepower.”

The driver known as the “Dream Weaver” to fans across the southeast will branch out during the course of the 2006 season. He plans to open up the year at the annual ‘Ice Bowl’ at the Talladega (AL) Short Track and also plans to invade Florida Speedweeks. As the year progresses, Randy will hit all the major shows across the southeast, as well as travel to some of Dirt Late Model’s mega-events including: the ‘Dream 100’ and the ‘World 100’ at the Eldora (OH) Speedway, the ‘Show-Me 100’ at the West Plains (MO) Motor Speedway, the ‘Topless 100’ at the Batesville (AR) Speedway, the ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ at the K-C (OH) Raceway, and the ‘North/South 100’ at the Florence (KY) Speedway.

“I will probably drive the Warrior House Car again at the Ice Bowl because our new shop won’t be done until the first of the year and our cars won’t be ready by then,” Randy went on to mention. “But we should be in our #116 cars by maybe Speedweeks, but definitely by the Bama Bash. I look forward to traveling some more this year and racing in some of the biggest events in the country. We had a lot of success in 2005 and hopefully we can have another successful year in 2006.”

Randy and the D&R Racing team will also launch a new website after the first of the year. As soon as the new shop is moved into and the new cars are lettered, a website will be created by Delph Communications. A press release will be issued when the site is uploaded and ready for viewing.

The D&R Racing team and driver Randy Weaver would like to thank all of their valued sponsors for their continued support. Those sponsors include:
Warrior Race Cars, Custom Racing Engines, Hicks & Ingles Contractors, The Bailey Company, Waldrop Transmission, Goddard Performance, Sign Smith Studio, PPM Racing Products, AFCO Racing Products, Volunteer Trucking, Woodward Steering, Outlaw Disc Brakes, Weld Racing Wheels, Bert Transmissions, Simpson Racing Products, FK Rod Ends, Delph Communications, Willett Powder Coating, VP Racing Fuels, K&N Filters, Hoosier Tires, and Oval Craft.
