Rain Takes Another Win At I-94
Raceway SAUK CENTRE, MN (August 12, 2006) - Early in the year, rain claimed a couple of nights of racing and that was the story once again as thunderstorms and heavy rain forced the cancellation of the races scheduled for Saturday August 12th at the I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre. Nearly halfway through the heat races, thunderstorms moved into the area, creating unraceable conditions. Doug Rose and his Green Mamba Jet car were on hand and with heavy rain falling, The Green Mamba melted a car into a molten mass. Racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday August 19th with a full program of
racing, plus the 150 lap ASA Super Late Model Jeremy "Tire Guy"
Johnson Memorial race.
