Andreacchi revved up for 2006 PMRA season "I can’t wait to drop the hammer in the Skull Motorsports Studebaker at the PMRA events.” MAPLE, ON (April 19, 2006) – With a new Al Billes Hemi power plant, Ralph Andreacchi plans to make his mark in 2006. The Ontario driver of the Skull Motorsports 1953 Studebaker Pro Modified is confident he and his team will be in the winner’s circle this season at Pro Modified Racing Association and Ontario Street Car Association (OSCA) events. “Our new engine program includes an Al Billes bullet that ran 6.03-seconds at 236 mph last season,” stated Andreacchi. “I’m very excited to get started, we should be in good shape for this year’s PMRA season.” Ralph Andreacchi’s car is powered by an Al Billes 526-cubic inch Brad
Anderson Hemi engine, a Kobelco 14-71 K-11 Superman Supercharger, a Watermen
fuel system, linked to a Lenco three-speed transmission with a AFT Dual disc

Jacobs to step up PMRA efforts
for 2006 “We were fortunate to run a couple of the PMRA event last year,” said Jacobs, driver of the 526-cubic inch–powered Pro Modified 1994 Chrysler Lebaron. “Our plan is to run all of the PMRA events and selected Quick-8 Outlaw events in the Northeast and try a few choice IHRA events in 2006.” The team runs out of Utica, NY. Jacobs, in the Snap-on Tools-Larry Gurdo, Gold Medal Packing, Terri Goff Web Designs, Performance Signs-sponsored entry, has been working on a new cylinder head and piston combination that should work in their benefit. "The key element to our team is my father, crew chief Fred Jacobs Sr. He is the boss and calls all of the shots,” said Jacobs, who also races an Outlaw Street Bike. “Nothing happens to this car without his approval, he’s the main deal.” The Jacobs Motorsports, www.jacobsmotorsportspro-mod.com, entry is powered by a new 526-cubic inch Keith Black Hemi, a Littlefield 1471 Supercharger, and a Enderle fuel system, all united to a Lenco three-speed transmission with a Crower clutch. The Pro Modified Racing Association, www.ProModifiedRacing.com, has five events confirmed for the 2006 season, the KC Auto Parts Family Day Celebration at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, ON, Saturday, June 24, at Lancaster Raceway Park in Clarence, NY on September 15 and the Pro Modified Racing Association is pleased to be running inaugural events at St. Thomas Dragway in Sparta, ON, August 5 and 6, the Eaton PMRA Challenge at Sanair near Montreal scheduled for Saturday, August 19, and at the Grand Bend Motorplex, over the Labor Day weekend. Started late in 2004 and entering its second year of operation, the Pro Modified Racing Association ran five events in 2005 at four Ontario, Quebec, and New York locations, with a different winner at each track. The PMRA provides drag race fans the opportunity see, hear and to experience the popular Pro Modifieds, known as "the world's fastest door slammers". The PMRA is a self-governing organization with its own set of technical and safety rules based on the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Pro Modified division. Cars in the PMRA capture the true spirit of hot rodding, and the class is one of drag racing’s most exciting and volatile classes, capturing the true spirit of hot rodding and offering a wildly diverse group of racecars with different types of 2,000-horsepower engines. Combining classic body styles and modern equipment, constructors are permitted to extensively modify and enhance both appearance and performance. The cars burn gasoline or methanol, propelling them down the quarter-mile in low six-second times at over 225 miles per hour. The PMRA Pro Modified field is composed of the eight quickest teams from the qualifying rounds.
