2006 Southern Nationals Series
Schedule Released (BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Southern Nationals Series promoter Ray Cook would
like to announce the schedule, point fund, purse, and other vital information
for the 2006 version of the exciting Dirt Late Model series. Monday, July 10 – Wythe Raceway, Rural Retreat, VA - $3,500 to win Tuesday, July 11 – Thunder Valley Speedway, Lawndale, NC - $3,500 to win Thursday, July 13 – Lavonia Speedway, Lavonia, GA - $3,500 to win Friday, July 14 – Modoc Speedway, Modoc, SC - $3,500 to win Saturday, July 15 – Cherokee Super Speedway, Gaffney, SC - $5,300 to win Monday, July 17 – Winchester Speedway, Winchester, TN - $3,500 to win Tuesday, July 18 – Cleveland Speedway, Cleveland, TN - $3,500 to win Thursday, July 20 – Tri-County Race Track, Brasstown, NC - $3,500 to win Friday, July 21 – Volunteer Speedway, Bulls Gap, TN - $3,500 to win Saturday, July 22 – Tazewell Speedway, Tazewell, TN - $5,300 to win The eight events that pay $3,500 to the winner will feature a $16,560 total
purse. Those events will pay $350 to the driver that finishes in the
twenty-fourth and final position. The two $5,300 to win events at Gaffney and
Tazewell will pay $500 to start and will feature a $22,450 purse. The series

ANNOUNCEMENTS: “I am about a month later than I wanted to be in announcing the schedule, but I wanted to make sure everything was concrete,” commented promoter and fellow Dirt Late Model racer Ray Cook today. “I think the schedule took shape nicely and we are offering some pretty good money in the thirteen day stretch. There are a bunch of sponsors that are coming on board and providing cash and product awards again this year and that will all be announced when everything is finalized.
